Desperate search underway for two children missing after wandering off from rural NSW property
- Eli and Hannah Jones, 14 and 12, have been missing in Kains Flat near Mudgee
- The pair had failed to come back after taking an afternoon hike on Monday
- Search party failed to find children overnight and the operation is continuing
A search is under way in rural NSW for two children who went for a walk and never came back.
Eli and Hannah Jones, 14 and 12, have been missing in Kains Flat, about 35km northeast of Mudgee, since going for a walk at 2.30pm on Monday.
Police were called at 5.45pm and were told the pair had failed to come back from the afternoon hike.

A search party failed to find the children overnight and the operation is continuing.

Specialist officers from Police Rescue and the Dog Unit are searching for the pair, alongside paramedics, Rural Fire Service volunteers, the Westpac rescue chopper and other volunteers.
