A devoted pet owner has created an adorable spider Halloween costume for her pet tortoise.

Owner Maya Rios from Chula Vista in California turned a child’s sock and some pipe cleaners into the cute clothing for her beloved Frank.

She joked that in the process she may have inadvertently come up with a cure for arachnophobia.

Having cut the end off the sock allowing for the two-month-old sulcata tortoise’s legs to poke through, she carefully sewed on some pipe cleaners for legs.

Frank appears to love the new look as he walks around inside his house in preparation for the spooky holiday.

The cute video also shows Frank taking a stroll through the grass in his garden as he shows off the bold new look.
