A passionate teacher has included a special bridal party for her dream wedding – her class of 22 year one students she teaches every day.
Demi Hilton, from the Sunshine Coast, recently married Matthew – her boyfriend of three years – in a ceremony the pair had been planning since 2017.
And she revealed her day was made even more memorable by inviting her young students to be part of her special celebration.

As well as the usual preparations, Mrs Hilton (pictured centre) also wanted to made her special day just a little more memorable by inviting her students to be part of her bridal party
The 23-year-old is now in her second year of teaching year one at St Thomas More Catholic School in Noosa, Queensland. Her students, she said, ‘mean the world to her’.
‘I knew as soon as we started wedding planning that I wanted to have them involved in our special day,’ she told FEMAIL.
‘I asked my soon-to-be husband and he wasn’t the slightest bit surprised as he knows how special they are to me.’

Mrs Hilton’s students were also involved in wedding preparations. Part of the excitement, she revealed, was trying to guess what her dress would be like
‘They were so excited when I asked them if they would like to play a special part in our wedding and all be my flower girls and page boys,’ she said.
‘They all squealed with delight and gave me the most precious smiles, one little girl even started to cry. They could hardly contain their excitement!’
The couple tied the knot April 30, and not only did her pupils lead her down the aisle, they also played a part in her wedding preparations.

‘They were so excited when I asked them if they would like to play a special part in our wedding and all be my flower girls and page boys,’ Mrs Hilton said
‘The girls loved to guess what my dress would be like.
‘And they all took part in the rehearsal practice we held the day before. Even the boys were excited to be part of it.’
On the day of her wedding, Mrs Hilton shared the emotional moment she arrived at the church and was greeted by her students all dressed in white.

‘I will never forget the moment we drove up to the church and my precious little students were there all dressed in their best ready to walk me down the aisle’

Mrs Hilton went just that little bit further to make the day even more special for her students by hosting a special cupcake reception straight after the wedding
‘I will never forget the moment we drove up to the church and my precious little students were there all dressed in their best whites ready to walk me down the aisle.
‘They were outside in two perfect lines just waiting for me to arrive,’ she continued.
‘I was just so overwhelmed it brought tears of joy to my eyes and I think they were just as excited to see me as I was to see them.’
Mrs Hilton said she also made the day even more special for her students by planning a special reception celebration straight after the wedding ceremony.

While more cautious brides may have resisted such a large bridal party for fear of all that could have gone wrong, Mrs Hilton said having her students with her made the event extra special
‘I wanted to have something special with just the children so I had a cupcake ceremony with them outside the church straight after we were married.
‘It was just so special; they loved it and even the priest joined us.’
While more cautious brides may have resisted such a large bridal party for fear of all that couldn’t have gone wrong on the day, Mrs Hilton said having her students with her made the event all the more meaningful.
‘I couldn’t have imagined our wedding without them, they made it extra special and I wouldn’t have had it any other way,’ she concluded. ‘I adore them.’
