Disintegrator Machine – an Integral Part of Food and Minerals Industry

You have coffee beans at your home and want a cup of coffee. What is the first thing you need? It is a grinder. A mixer and a grinder are two imperative parts of the kitchen in any household. Similarly, food, mineral, and many such food grinder industrial applications majorly need a disintegrator machine to crush and grind coarse objects to smaller, desirable sized particles. A disintegrator machine serves this purpose. Coarse materials are fed into the inlet of the disintegrator machine and the desirable size of the end-product is carefully selected. The machine then breaks down the low-abrasive material into fine powder or smaller grains.

Disintegrator Machine Mechanism

A disintegrator machine is basically a huge commercial grinder. It is a crusher consisting of four or five rotors mounted on a central axis. There are sharp blades attached to the ends of the rotor to cut down the big particles fed into the machine. When the machine is switched on and the material to be crushed is fed into the inlet of the machine, the blades attached to the rotors grind the material into smaller pieces. The rotors or beaters revolve at high speed and pulverize the bigger grains. The disintegrator machine releases the desirable product at the discharge chamber below and collects dust, husk, and other unwanted by-products into a separate chamber. This ensures the use of the machine to be easy and problem free.

Some disintegrator machines also allow you to select the size of the end product. You can feed in the machine the desirable size and hence control the rotations per minute (RPM) of the machine so as to control the product size.

Applications of Disintegrator Machine

Food grinder industrial for crushing and grinding is required in some major industries. To name a few, below is a list of some of the industries that find applications of a disintegrator and food grinder industrial machine.

  • Spices Industry – to grind the large spices chunks into powdered form.
  • Juice Industry – to make vegetable and fruit purees and juices.
  • Baby Food Industry – To breakdown large chunks of fruits and vegetables and even cereals and prepare baby food in a fine powder or coarsely powdered form, depending on the age of the baby that the food is prepared for.

Types of Disintegrator Machines at Corenco

Corenco has a wide variety of disintegrator machines depending on their usage in different industries, feeding methods and various other factors.

  1. Angle Disintegrators – The feeding inlet is mounted at an angle of 30° and hence the name. These types of machines are mainly gravity-fed and are suitable to be used with both dry and wet application. Angle disintegrators are fit for pureeing, granulating, soft fruit and vegetable processing, and pulverizing.
  2. Screw-fed Disintegrators – Screw-fed disintegrators are designed for high surface tension and larger surface area materials that do not instantly follow the gravitational path down the crusher. Due to its design, the size of the grinding chamber of the machine is not easy to gauge while using it. Therefore, it comes with a metered feed into the mill. This protects the machine from overloading. This type of disintegrator is best suited for paper, bark and green leafy vegetables.
  3. Pump-fed Disintegrator – This type of disintegrator is designed to be used for thick viscous liquids such as tomato paste that need to be pumped and worked upon. This reduces agglomeration inside the machine. Due to the use of a pump, the efficiency of pump-fed machines is more than gravity feeding. This is because the pump can easily regulate the flow of liquids inside the machine. This is more suitable for things like dairy, tomatoes, and beans.
  4. Crushers – It was originally made to crush watermelons but gradually it evolved to be of much higher responsibility. Today, it is generally used for milling frozen products in buckets and drums. The chunks here are broken into pieces as small as a fist. To make it finer, it needs to be ground again in a grinder or a simple gravity-chute disintegrator.

All the machines listed above are available in a range of models to choose from. The disintegrator machines designed at Corenco, USA are robust, sturdy, long-lasting, reliable and durable. Buy a machine from us and forget about its maintenance for a long time.
