Disney slammed for ‘woke’ training documents claiming America is a ‘fundamentally racist country’

Newly revealed Disney’s training documents show the company asked their white staff to ‘decolonize their bookshelves,’ participate in reparations and complete a ‘privilege checklist’ as part of their anti-racism training.

The media conglomerate has been slammed as becoming the ‘Wokest Place on Earth’ after the training module showed them adopting ‘critical race theory’ as part of their employee training.

Journalist Chris Rufo who first obtained the documents, appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight where he called Disney out for promoting ‘division and self-hatred’.

‘I think it should be very clear that (Disney) makes its money on middle Americans who go to their theme parks and buys their content, and those people should know that this corporation, it hates you, it hates your culture, and it hates the color of your skin, and I think Americans should reject this kind of politics and reject the companies that are pushing it.’

Rufo said the employee training modules turned Disney from the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ to the ‘Wokest Place on Earth’

‘The great irony of this is the people in charge of are some of the richest and most powerful and privileged white males in the history of humanity, and they are pushing this divisive, critical race theory-based ideology”

Rufo says Disney executives ‘bombarded’ employees with trainings on ‘systemic racism,’ ‘white privilege,’ ‘white fragility ,’ and launched racially segregated ‘affinity groups’ at the company’s headquarters,.

The training documents show that staff were asked to complete a ‘privilege checklist’ , and read a series of how-to guides, including ’75 Things White People Can Do for Racial Justice.’

It also called for white staff to ‘decolonize your bookshelf’, ‘participate in reparations,’ and take time to understand and embrace the defund the police movement.

Carlson compared the demand to ‘decolonize your bookshelf’ as akin to ‘burning books’.

Carlson asked him: ‘Is there an indication of which lives matter and which lives don’t matter, according to the Walt Disney company?’

‘Yeah, there is,’ Rufo answered, ‘What Disney is saying is we should reject the idea of equality, that people should be treated equally regardless of their skin color, and they say they need to pursue a policy of equity where people achieve equal outcomes, and this is the tip of the iceberg.’

A Walt Disney Company spokesperson said in an emailed statement to DailyMail.com that the internal documents are being ‘deliberately distorted as reflective of company policy.’

‘Their purpose was to allow diversity of thought and discussion on the incredibly complex and challenging issues of race and discrimination that we as a society and companies nationwide are facing,’ the spokesperson said.

‘The Disney brand has a long history of inclusivity, with stories that reflect acceptance and tolerance and celebrate people’s differences, as we have consistently demonstrated,” said the Disney spokesperson, citing recent movies like Moana, Coco, Black Panther, Soul, and Raya and the Last Dragon. ‘As a global entertainment company we are committed to continuing to tell stories that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience.’

The documents specifically tells employees to ‘challenge color-blind ideologies and rhetoric, such as the phrase ‘all lives matter.’

Rufo cited ‘multiple’ anonymous Disney employees in his story who said the company’s diversity and inclusion program – dubbed ‘Reimagine Tomorrow’ – was ‘perhaps noble in intent, has become deeply politicized and engulfed parts of the company in racial conflict.’

Disney also sponsored a 21-day racial equity challenge, which starts with a lesson on systemic racism and tells participants they have ‘all been raised in a society that elevates white culture over others.’

The documents claim America has ‘long history of systemic racism and transphobia,’ which Carlson slammed, saying the phrase transphobia is ’20 minutes old,’ and tells employees they must ‘take ownership of educating yourself about structural anti-Black racism’ and ‘not rely on your Black colleagues to educate you,’ which is ’emotionally taxing.’
