A janitor at Walt Disney World has claimed that it is his constitutional right to watch child pornography, according to police.

Paul G. Curley, 66, was arrested on Wednesday in Kissimmee, Florida and charged with six counts of possession of images of a sexual performance by a child.

In March, detectives received three tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children identifying an IP address that child porn was being uploaded from, according to a charging affidavit reported by the Orlando Sentinel.

Investigators tied the IP address to an account registered to Curley, the affidavit said. The photos appeared to depict nude children aged five to 12.

After putting Curley under surveillance, police executed a search warrant on his home this week.

They allegedly found a child pornography website open on his home computer, as well as searches related to child porn in his history.

Curley at first claimed he was searching for the child porn for ‘investigative purposes,’ according to police.

He then claimed that he hadn’t broken the law because he was just watching the kiddie porn online, and hadn’t sent or downloaded any files. However police said they found numerous child porn files in his downloads folder.

‘He stated that his constitutional rights allow him to view the child pornography,’ the affidavit said. ‘He does not feel that he is guilty of a crime.’

Curley also allegedly claimed that the kids depicted in the sick images had made the photos themselves and were doing it of their own free will.

Records list Curley as a custodian at Walt Disney World. A Disney spokesperson said that he has been placed on unpaid leave until his charges are resolved.

Curley is being held in the Osceola County Jail in lieu of a $6,000 bond. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
