After beginning her career in children’s shows and sitcoms she went on to star in several critically acclaimed action and drama shows. 

Her lead role in a popular comedy drama saw her take home the coveted Gold Logie in 2010.

More recently, she found new success and popularity by appearing as a contestant in a popular competitive cooking series. 

The well-known personality shared a precious throwback photo to Instagram on Saturday from her high school days in the ’80s – and it was none other than Rebecca Gibney. 

In the photo, the fresh-faced teen sports a glorious bouffant-style haircut as she cheerfully gazes into the camera.

‘Throwback to when I had hair. Mum signed me up to a deportment school and I think this was one of my first head shots,’ she wrote next to the snap.

‘I look back on so many of these photos and my earlier ones. I was glorious without makeup, without adornment,’ she reflected.

Back in 2015, after she turned 50, Rebecca said she had never felt more comfortable in her skin since reaching the milestone birthday.

‘I finally feel content,’ Rebecca said at the time. ‘I’ve become much more at peace with myself, no amount of money can buy that feeling.’

‘I used to worry about what people thought so much that it used to cripple me because I was the ultimate people pleaser.

‘I think now that I’ve hit 50 I don’t give a rat’s any more.’
