Fans spotted an awkward moment between Cole Palmer and manager Gareth Southgate following England’s 1-1 draw with Denmark.

Palmer was an unused substitute as Southgate’s side produced a disappointing display.

22-year-old Palmer was one of the standout performers in the Premier League last season as he scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists in 33 games in his first campaign at Chelsea.

England lacked dynamism and were certainly in need of a different option in attack.

To the surprise of many, Southgate didn’t elect to turn to Palmer.
