Dog dangles from moving ute while still tied up in Qld

A pet dog has been dragged by the neck for up to 100 metres after it was flung from the back of its owners moving ute while wearing a collar and lead.

The Queensland motorist had at least three dogs tied up on their flat tray when one fell over the edge and was left dangling by its throat.

Hair raising footage shot from the dash cam of a nearby parked car shows the vehicle zooming through the 60 kilometre zone before coming to a stop.

The disturbing video, shot just after 11am on Thursday, prompted a ‘viewer warning’ when uploaded to the Dash Cam Owners Australia Facebook page.

The brown canine can be seen bouncing up after making contact with the road, before being thrown into a series of vicious twists.

It then hangs dangerously close to the back wheel of the vehicle, possibly coming into contact with its spinning wrath.

The dark-coloured Toyota Landcruiser pulls over a short distance up the road, followed by a smaller while vehicle.

‘That poor dog. F**k, maybe drag the driver along the road, roped by his neck and he might get a clue,’ one angered social media user wrote.

‘Put the dog inside in the ac with you! My dogs have seat belt leads that clip into a normal seat belt then attach to their collars. Don’t leave them out in the heat, with the threat of falling off!,’ another added.

One wrote: ‘You see morons like this all the time with chains too long. It makes you wonder about the intelligence level of some ute drivers.’
