‘I said, after Beth left, I’m not afraid to die… I take that back. I’m not afraid to [die], but I don’t want to,’ the TV star tells Dr. Oz in the short 47 second clip.

A pulmonary embolism is a potentially life threatening condition where a blood clot travels to your lungs, blocking blood flow to them.

After receiving the diagnosis, the bounty hunter says he was overcome with the fear of death.

‘Oh I was afraid to die. I said “Please let go of my heart, honey. Quit squeezing my heart,’ Chapman explains.

‘You’re a ticking time bomb,’ Dr. Mehmet Oz of the Dr. Oz show says in the clip.

‘You’re not going to be here with the heart the way it is right now. Fear of death is normal,’ he continues. ‘I’m surprised you don’t fear death when you’re chasing after convicts. But when you run away from doctor, that means you have to do your own doctoring.’

Duane previously said he believed the chest pains were due to a ‘broken heart’ following his wife’s passing.

The recent widower is ‘weary of doctors and hospitals,’ according to People, but he told the outlet he’s not going to go out with out a fight and he’s now on the road to recovery.

Dr. Oz, who went to visit Chapman at his Denver home, was also given a tour of the star’s home, including a number of pictures and artworks of his late wife.
