Dognapper, 20, accidentally shoots HIMSELF after trying to steal adorable nine-week-old American Bulldog puppy named Tarzan in Ontario

A dognapper hoping to get his hands on a nine-week-old purebred American Bulldog managed to shoot himself when attempting the hold up in Canada, according to local authorities. 

The Peel Regional Police Department in Ontario shares that an unidentified 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with robbery after the December 20 incident. 

In a press release, the department said that the victim arranged to sell the puppy – named Tarzan – through an online site used for buying and selling.

The pair met in Skylar Circle, with the victim handing over the pup to the suspect. 

But the suspect refused to pay the victim, pointing his gun before running away on foot,

The victim called police at around 7.31pm. Police arrived to the scene and arrested the suspect after getting him medical attention.

The 20-year-old suspect was charged with firearm related offenses in addition to the robbery. 

He was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on December 21.
