Three Dominos stores have been shut down following issues with their franchisee.
The stores, all in Townsville – north Queensland, temporarily closed their doors on December 2.
The franchisee of Dominos Bushland Beach, Dominos Burdell (North Shore) and Dominos Mount Louisa found the stores weren’t sustainable.
‘Dominos has offered support to all team members impacted by this temporary closure, and are committed to re-opening the stores as soon as possible,’ a Dominos spokesperson told the Herald Sun.
‘We apologise for any inconvenience caused to the local community due to the temporary closure of these stores, and look forward to serving hot and fresh pizza again very soon.’
It is not clear when the stores will likely reopen.
The sudden closure has left the stores’ predominantly young staff out of work just days before school holidays start.
Dominos in August announced its first month of the 2025 financial year had seen a 1.3 per cent drop in sales.
Fortunately for Dominos fans in Townsville, six stores remain open in Kirwan, West End, Hermit Park, North Ward, Aitkenvale and Fairfield Central.
