Donald Trump Jr. retweets Roseanne Barr’s anti-Semitic tweets

Donald Trump Jr. retweeted some of the offensive comments posted by Roseanne Barr during her racist Twitter rampage that ultimately led to her show being cancelled.

Despite clearly retweeting one of Barr’s posts on Tuesday, the son of President Trump denied that he retweeted anything that was anti-Semitic.

The tweet in question was one in which Barr called billionaire Democratic donor George Soros, who is Jewish, a ‘nazi’ who ‘turned in his fellow Jews’.

Barr had tweeted the false conspiracy theory about Soro, which has been pushed by alt-right activists, after she claimed that Chelsea Clinton was married to one of the billionaire’s nephews.

After Clinton clarified that she wasn’t related to Soro, Barr fired back with an apology that included the anti-Semitic claims.

‘Sorry to have tweeted incorrect info about you!I Please forgive me! By the way, George Soros is a nazi who turned in his fellow Jews 2 be murdered in German concentration camps & stole their wealth-were you aware of that? But, we all make mistakes, right Chelsea?’ Barr tweeted.

‘Soros’ goal; the overthrow of us constitutional republic by buying/backing candidates 4 local district attorney races who will ignore US law & favor ‘feelings’ instead-and call everyone who is alarmed by that ‘racist’.’

Those two tweets were the ones then retweeted by Don Jr.

The President’s son made his denial on Twitter as he referenced a Page Six story detailing the retweets.

‘Page Six is doing what they normally do, lying and obfuscating. They know full well that I did not RT anything that was anti-semitic, but I guess facts don’t matter when you’re a dishonest, clickbait rag. #FAKENEWS,’ he tweeted.

Meanwhile Soros’ son Alexander defended his father in a post on the New York Daily News, saying Barr’s lie was so ‘odious’.

‘When Jews in his native Budapest were being rounded up and killed by the Nazis, my grandfather Tivadar Soros saved many lives including his own family by securing false identity papers and helping put Jews into hiding. Among those he helped was the wife of an official of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture,’ Alexander said.

‘In exchange, my grandfather asked the official to hide my father and pretend he was his godson. The official’s duties included taking inventory of the estate of a Jewish family that had fled earlier under duress and he took my then 13-year-old father with him.’

Barr’s tweets about Soro were among the many on Tuesday in the lead up to her racist tweet that referred to former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett as a product of the Muslim Brotherhood and the ‘Planet of the Apes.’

ABC swiftly canceled Barr’s hit show ‘Roseanne’ and slammed the comedian’s comments as ‘abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values’.

Barr was also dumped by her talent agency, ICM Partners.

Jarrett responded to the ordeal when she spoke at a town hall on MSNBC called ‘Everyday Racism in America’ later on Tuesday.

She revealed that Disney CEO Bob Iger had called her to apologize.

‘He wanted me to know before he made it public that he was canceling the show,’ she said.
