A free-swinging Donald Trump lamented Tuesday in a reelection campaign rally in Milwaukee that Democrats aren’t giving him enough credit for taking out Iranian terrorist leader Qassem Soleimani.
The president referred to the slain Iranian military general as a ‘son of a b***h’ when mentioning how he planted roadside bombs that left U.S. troops missing limbs, burned badly and dead.
Democrat lawmakers chastised the president in the days after Soleimani was killed earlier this month, claiming he didn’t notify them of the attack and insisted there wasn’t adequate intelligence to show that Soleimani was planning an ‘imminent’ attack on Americans.
‘They’re saying, ‘Was the attack imminent? Was it imminent?’ Does the fact that he’s killed hundreds of thousands of people and thousands of Americans, and horribly killed and wounded thousands and thousands, that doesn’t matter,’ Trump said at his second rally of 2020.
‘Was the attack imminent?’ I think they’re going to start a new investigation: ‘Was the attack on this horror?’—and by the way, he was in a country he wasn’t allowed to be in. We don’t mention that,’ Trump continued in justifying why he took out Soleimani.

Trump also took a direct hit at Democratic presidential frontrunner Bernie Sanders.
‘Bernie and the radical left cannot protect your family and they cannot protect our country, nor do they want to, I think,’ Trump said of Democrats and the Vermont independent senator.
Trump delivered a greatest-hits rally in in rust-belt swing state Wisconsin, riffing on impeachment, Iran, his impending China trade deal and the shrinking ranks of Democrats who want to replace him.

The president remained quiet all day Tuesday on Twitter as attention was drawn to Capitol Hill, and Trump has continued to deny any wrongdoing, dubbing impeachment a partisan ‘witch hunt.’
He only broke his silence on social media as he left for the rally, tweeting before boarding Air Force One: ‘On my way to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a #TrumpRally. Look forward to see you all soon!’

Trump took his two-hour flight to Wisconsin to lament that Apple would not agree to unlock the phone used by the Pensacola shooter. He also took a hit at Democratic leaders who headed the impeachment inquiry in the House.

In the 2016 election, Trump narrowly won the swing state with 47.2 per cent of the vote compared to Hillary Clinton’s 46.5 per cent. But Clinton faced a slew of backlash for largely ignoring Wisconsin and not campaigning there once during the general election.
Now Democrats are trying to fix their mistake by focusing more attention on the midwest and rust belt swing-states. They will hold their Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee, Winsconsin in July this year.
