Donna Hay holds hands with her mystery younger boyfriend

She’s the iconic TV host, cookbook author and celebrity chef who sent fans into meltdown by debuting a mystery new boyfriend in October. 

And it seems Donna Hay, 46, has found the recipe for a perfect romance with her much younger man, with the pair putting on a very amorous display while hitting the pavement for a run in Bondi on Thursday.

The cooking mogul looked the picture of content as she held hands with her youthful lover while they strolled down the promenade.

Donna showcased her slim frame in an all-black ensemble consisting of a singlet top and leggings by Nike and a pair of Asics trainers.

Going makeup-free for the casual excursion, Donna slicked back her brunette mane into a no-fuss ponytail while accessorising her ensemble with a pair of crystal earrings. 

Her man looked similarly sporty, wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the logo of a local gym and a pair of lightweight running shorts.

Donna’s new relationship comes after a ‘tough’ and ‘horrible’ divorce from her husband and farmer Bill Wilson, who is father to their two children Angus, 14, and Tommy, 11.

‘It’s not what defines me,’ Donna told news.com.au of her split back in 2015.

Post divorce, Donna lost three dress sizes by eating healthily and embracing exercise, mainly running and stand-up paddle boarding.

But her journey to weight-loss was not without its setbacks, as Donna was hospitalised in 2010 after she collapsed from excruciating pain. 

‘I have no idea when it happened. There’s no affair, it just happened’: Donna told news.com.au of her split back in 2015

Doctors later found out she had a missing disc in her back.

‘I have bone on bone, often with nerves caught between,’ Donna told The Daily Telegraph.

‘I had to learn to walk again.’

In spite of her diagnosis, and a 12-day stint in hospital, Donna is back in to running and can now go between 14 and 15 kilometres, with a daily five kilometre run to stay in shape.

Despite her new-found fitness regime and subsequent weight loss Donna admitted that until recently she still felt ‘nervous’.

The cause of her angst was the previous negative press, with Donna’s recipes labelled too simple and her personality one of a ‘steely perfectionist’.
