Downton Abbey heir is reassured he won’t lose his bedroom after estate is advertised on Airbnb

There is new drama at Downton Abbey. 

Rumours have been circulating that Lord ‘Porchy’ Porchester was going to lose his bedroom at Highclere Castle – the setting for the hit TV drama – because the pile is being advertised to Downton fans on Airbnb. 

But Porchy’s stepmother, the Countess of Carnarvon, has assured me that is not the case.

Lady Carnarvon says although Porchy, 26, and his sister Saoirse, 28 – heirs to the magnificent stately home – flew the nest, they keep returning. 

‘We gave them both cottages nearby to give them independence so they can entertain their friends at weekends without their father and I hanging around,’ she says. 

‘But we find they keep turning up at the house because we keep milk in the fridge! It’s pleasing for us to have them home – we’ll always keep their bedrooms. They are by no means homeless.’

Understatement of the week goes to Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriend, Camila Morrone, who said her mother’s former boyfriend had been ‘an incredible addition to my family’.

You can say that again – her mum Lucila Sola’s ex-partner is none other than Hollywood royalty, Al Pacino. 

Notoriously private model Camila, 22, said of The Godfather star: ‘All I’m going to say about him, because I have a great deal of love and respect for him, is that it was an incredible addition to my family.’

I have to hand it to Minnie Driver for being so honest about her love life. 

‘There was one time I realised I’d slept with a whole billboard!’ laughs the 49-year-old actress, referring to the occasion when she spotted a film poster in Hollywood featuring a number of her exes. 

Minnie’s long list of superstar former boyfriends includes Matt Damon and Matt Le Blanc.

She adds: ‘Men are like labradors. They need three things – to run a lot, to be fed a lot and to be loved a lot. If you can cover those three bases, you’re good to go.’
