Dr. Chris Brown jets off to the jungle in South Africa for his last time as co-host of I’m a Celebrity after jumping ship to rival Seven – but no one from Channel 10 sees him off

TV vet Dr. Chris Brown was spotted jetting out of Australia on Thursday to head to South Africa to film his last ever season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The hunky star, 44, who is soon heading to Channel Seven after being poached from Channel 10, was seen at the airport ahead of his flight to Johannesburg.

Chris appeared in high spirits as he jetted off on his latest work adventure, clutching an Akubra in his hands.

However, rather noticeably, no one was there beside the driver to bid him farewell.

For the long-haul flight, Chris kept things casual and looked relaxed in a black T-shirt, which he teamed with grey trousers and sneakers.

He carried a black backpack as carry on luggage, two big suitcases and a duffle bag behind him.

Earlier this month, Chris appeared in a promotional video for I’m a Celebrity, after it was announced he was leaving the network.

This year’s season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will be Chris Brown’s last alongside comic, Julia Morris.

Brown said in a statement: ‘I’m not entirely sure my old access pass works, but once we get over that hurdle and I’m back from the jungle, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into some exciting new projects in the second half of the year and beyond with Seven.’

James Warburton, Seven West Media’s managing director and CEO, added: ‘We are very pleased to welcome Chris back to Seven. It’s been too long.

‘Chris is one of the most popular and recognised people on Australian TV, bringing warmth, intelligence and a great sense of humour to everything he does.

‘We can’t wait to have him on board and to announce the great new content he will star in.’
