Choc banana oat cookie
● 2 bananas
● 100g oats
● 50g dark chocolate, finely chopped
Preheat oven to 180C/ 160C fan/gas mark 4.
Mash the bananas well, then stir in the oats and dark chocolate. Form into 8 balls and put on a lined baking tray.
Flatten the balls using your hands and bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
These choc banana oat cookies are only 109 calories each and can be eaten as part of Dr Michael Mosley’s new diet guide which he hopes will thwart Britain’s diabetes epidemic
● 1 small apple
● 2 pinches ground cinnamon
● 1 pinch ground nutmeg
● 1 tbsp low-fat plain yogurt
Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas mark 6.
Core the apple and cut in half. Place in a baking dish, cut side up, and sprinkle over the spices.
Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until soft, then serve with a spoonful of yogurt.
This baked apple has only 92 calories per serving and has two pinches of cinnamon and one pinch of ground nutmeg and is topped off with one tablespoon of low-fat plain yoghurt
Peanut butter and banana ice cream
● 1 large banana, frozen
● 1 tbsp peanut butter
Blitz the peanut butter and frozen banana together in a blender, then serve immediately or freeze for a few hours to firm up.

● 100g frozen berries
● ½ tsp vanilla extract
● 50g low-fat plain yogurt
● 1 meringue nest
Microwave the berries for 1-2 minutes until soft, then add the vanilla and roughly mash together using a fork.
To serve, swirl the berries and yogurt together and crumble over the meringue nest.

This chocolate mouse has 145 calories per serving
● 50g dark chocolate
Fill a large bowl with ice and water.
Break the chocolate into a bowl and pour over 40ml of just-boiled water, then whisk together until the chocolate has melted, which will take about 1 minute.
Place the bowl of chocolate in the iced water and whisk until it thickens – it will take 2-3 minutes.
Continue whisking until you have a mousse-like consistency – this will take a further 2 minutes.
Scoop into small bowls or glasses to serve.
