This is the moment dramatic body cam footage revealed how police rescued a woman who had been smashed in the face with a tire iron and kidnapped at knifepoint.
Sean E Sanders, 51, who has multiple other arrests for assault and kidnapping, was Tased by police after trying to run over an officer during a dramatic standoff.
The ‘violent criminal’ shoved his victim into his white van which had chained doors and a cage in the back. Its windows were covered with blankets so no one could see inside.
Police were first called after the woman was seen bleeding from the head while screaming, ‘help he’s going to kill me,’ as she was forced into the vehicle.

The witness then followed the vehicle to provide officers with its details.
Brookside officers saw the van passing a church and tried to stop it but it continued driving until police were able to block it on Mt Olive Road.
Police said that Sanders tried to run over an officer but the officer shot into the van and disabled it.
Officers then tried to negotiate with the suspect for 35 minutes as he held the victim at knifepoint in the back of the van.
Sanders, who police say has a history of being arrested for assault and kidnap, demanded that the officers kill him.
According to CNN, the police said: ‘Fearing immediate danger to the victim, Brookside tactical officers (breached) the rear of the suspect vehicle, Tased the suspect and made entry into the front of the vehicle to engage the suspect.’

A witness saw her being pushed into the van and called police before following the vehicle to provide officers with its details

They then rushed in to rescue the victim.
She was hospitalized in a stable condition and suffered cuts to the head and face.
Two policemen were left with minor injuries during the arrest and were treated on the scene.
Sanders, of Los Angeles, was charged with kidnapping, attempted murder of a police officer, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
He admitted to kidnapping the victim against her will, assaulting her and trying to run over a police officer and is being held in Jefferson County jail on a $191,000 bond.
Brookside police chief Mike Jones told ABC News: ‘He’s a homeless transient who has been living out of his van in Alabama for at least the last three months.’
