Drew Carey attends the wake of ex Amie Harwick as he continues mourning the loss of sex therapist

A grieving Drew Carey continued to mourn the loss of his ex-fiancee Amie Harwick as he attended her wake on Thursday.

The somber TV host, 61, wore all black as he walked inside the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home in Lansdale, Pennsylvania with fellow mourners.

Carey appeared sorrowful as he approached the funeral home with his gaze cast downwards.

Harwick, 38, died when she was allegedly strangled and thrown off a third-story balcony by a former boyfriend.

Gareth Pursehouse, 41, has since been arrested, charged with murder and accused of strangling her before the fall.

Carey, who was engaged to Harwick for less than a year in 2018, still had nothing but high praise for the sex therapist while reflecting on their relationship on a recent episode of his SiriusXM show, Drew Carey’s Friday Night Freak-Out.

‘Back in September 2018, I was in a beautiful, great, best relationship of my life with a woman named Amie Harwick,’ Carey said.

‘She was a sex therapist and mental health advocate. She had a PhD and a master’s degree, and she was beautiful and fun, and cared deeply about people and improving their lives and was just a joy to be around. I was so in love with her,’ he added.

The Price Is Right host remembered all the fond memories they shared together after he made a music playlist specially for her.

He said: ‘This one week I said, “Hey I made a set for you.” And she said, “Oh really?” and I said, “Yeah.” I played it for her and she teared up.’

The Price is Right host added that the couple played ‘this set of music all the time for each other.’

‘We would sing the words in each other’s ears. We would hold each other and dance in the kitchen to it and slow dance in the bathroom to it, and the office, living room or where we were,’ said Carey.

‘I would hold her and we would hold hands in the car and listen to it. We would sing to each other.

‘All these songs were so important to us and I want to play them for you, so you can hear how much we loved each other through these songs.’

Though their engagement ended in 2018, Carey described his enduring love for the sex therapist.

Carey said: ‘I just want to say, I’m so broken up. Even after we broke up, we still loved each other very much.

‘Even though we broke up the engagement, I was still so in love with her. And she loved me back.

‘I could never hear these songs again without thinking of her so this next set is for Amie Harwick, a beautiful person who didn’t deserve to die like she did. I loved her very much.’

Tapings of The Price Is Right were postponed following the death of Harwick, and Carey said he would likely be taking some time off from filming the show to continue grieving.

‘I might take a couple weeks off because I’m in really no position to work or entertain anybody right now but I wanted to get this set out there for her and just put it out there how I loved her,’ Carey said.

Harwick was a Pepperdine University graduate who released the book The New Sex Bible For Women in 2014.

Several months before their engagement, Drew shared a selfie of the pair beaming inside a car.

‘The face of a lottery winner (L);’ he captioned it, referring to himself.
