This is the moment a drink driver smashed into a taxi after jumping a red light.
Samuel Olaitan, 32, was found to be nearly double the legal drink driving limit following the collision in Bolton town centre on May 20.
In a CCTV clip released by police, Olaitan can be seen driving in a white Citroen C4 Cactus at around 2am.
He is seen approaching a junction but instead of paying attention to the red light, Olatan whizzes through.
The vehicle then hits the back of a taxi driving through a green light.
Both cars can then be seen spinning out of control in the middle of the road, caused by the impact of the collision.
Olaitan tried to run away from the scene, but a member of the public managed to detain him and handed him over to police.

He was breath tested and was found to have 59 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – nearly double the legal limit of 35 micrograms.
Fortunately, the taxi driver and passengers did not suffer any serious injuries.
Images showed both vehicles badly damaged following the crash.
Only one occupant of the taxi went to hospital, but they were discharged the same night.
Olaitan, from Bolton, was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, drink driving, having no insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He was sentenced to four months in prison, suspended for two years and has been disqualified from driving for two years.
Olaitan must also pay £515 in fines, adhere to a curfew and wear an electronic tag as well as take an extended driving test.

PC Matthew Picton, of GMP’s Traffic unit, said: ‘This level of driving is totally unacceptable.
‘There is no place on our roads for impaired drivers, whether that be through drink or drugs or driving dangerously, who as a result puts other people’s lives at risk.
‘We will continue to utilise all methods of evidence gathering to place these individuals before the courts to have them removed from roads. Thankfully no one was seriously injured on this occasion.’
