Deputies intervened after they noticed McMillion shouting at the taxi driver and trying to slap him in attempts that were blocked by the victim, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman had allegedly grown violent after the driver informed her he had no cigarettes because he doesn’t smoke.

She appeared drunk when officers approached her, and was reportedly slurring her words, smelling of alcohol, unsteady on her feet with bloodshot eyes.

Police say McMillion refused to cooperate with police and continuously asked for a cigarette while also shouting profanities.

Authorities placed her in handcuffs but said she struggled and tried to pull away as they approached the patrol car.

She proceeded to kick an officer in the leg at least twice as they put her into the back seat of the car.

The 53-year-old has been charged with disorderly intoxication and battery on a law enforcement officer.
