Drunk man falls off a platform into path of train

  • A drunk man has been captured on CCTV falling onto a Brisbane train track

  • Three witnesses watched on in horror as he fell in front of an approaching train

The heart-stopping moment a drunk man fell onto a set of tracks at a Brisbane train station has been caught on CCTV.

The man can be seen standing on a platform at Fortitude Valley Station on Thursday night before suddenly walking forward and tumbling onto the track.

A group of three people also on the platform watched on in horror as the man, who appeared to be unfazed, didn’t move from the tracks despite an approaching train.

The witnesses began flailing their arms after noticing the train, which slowed down as it pulled into the station.

The drunk man tries to get up after noticing the train, but is pulled to safety by two of the witnesses.

Once he reaches the platform, the man, who appears to unconscious, lays on the ground. 

The footage was released by Fortitude Valley Station as a warning to New Years revellers to be careful.
