A blind and unwanted 10-year-old labrador that was dumped at a Brisbane pound has found her forever home.
Labrador Rescue put a heartfelt plea on social media on Thursday, desperate to find Dumpling a new home after she was abandoned by her previous owners after having a litter of puppies.
‘Unfortunately I was dumped at the pound at 10 years old, blind, overweight and alone,’ the Facebook post read.
‘Since being in care I have lost over 13 kg so I would like a new family to help me stay on this weight loss journey.’

‘As you can tell I have no eyes; I had to lose them as they were causing me a lot of pain.
‘I don’t need much in life, just a nice warm home in which to enjoy my last few years.’
The Facebook post went viral as Dumpling won millions of hearts on social media.
Labrador Rescue was inundated with 63 offers within two days to adopt Dumpling.
‘Our little Dumpling has become a massive social media star, her story has been shared far and wide by our supporters, celebrities, news sites, it’s been overwhelming!’ Labrador Rescue posted on Saturday.
Dumpling is now settling into her new home with the Ingebrigtsen family in south-east Queensland following a successful meet and greet on Saturday.
She already made best buddies with her new brother, a chocolate labrador called Bob, who has made the new addition to the family very welcome.

‘She’s adorable, we’re really grateful that we’ve been given the opportunity to look after her and give her the wonderful life that she deserves,’ new owner Debbie Ingebrigtsen told Seven News.
Dumpling’s carer Ashleigh was overwhelmed with the adoption offers but said the Ingebrigtsens ‘stuck out to her’.
‘She’s not the first foster dog I’ve had, she’s number 37 so I’ve never had a reaction like this. It’s amazing,’ she said.
‘I love that they have another dog and treat him like he’s a family member.’
