Dusan Vlahovic COMPLETES his £62m Juventus switch from Fiorentina on his 22nd birthday as the Serie A giants hail the Serbian forward as ‘a force of nature’ with ‘clinical coldness’ in front of goal after rejecting move to Arsenal

- The forward had earlier arrived for his medical in Turin, waving to adoring fans

- Juventus called him ‘a force of nature’ with ‘outstanding’ goalscoring technique
Dusan Vlahovic has finally completed his £62million move from Fiorentina to Juventus after successfully undergoing a medical in Turin – with his new club hailing their new buy as a ‘force of nature’.
The 21-year-old, who had been heavily linked with a mega-money move to Arsenal before opting to remain in Italy, had been greeted by adoring fans as he arrived for his medical, and has now put pen to paper on his deal to put an end to rumours after a host of interest in his signature.
Vlahovic, who agreed personal terms with Juventus earlier this week, has scored 20 goals in 24 matches for Fiorentina this season.

It marks quite a day for Vlahovic – who has joined the club on the day of his 22nd birthday.
Reports in Italy suggest Vlahovic has signed a long-term contract and is set to earn £5.8m per season net at the Allianz Stadium.
After clinching the coveted signing, Juventus gave their new man a glowing report, saying: ‘It would be reductive to describe Dusan as simply a force of nature. In addition to his physical prowess, he displays outstanding technique, power, class, and all-importantly, a clinical coldness in front of goal.

‘A penalty box predator, 93% of his goals in Serie A, 41 out of 44, were scored from inside the penalty area, and already this campaign, he is the player who has attempted most shots, 75.
‘These are numbers of this lethal striker. These are numbers to be updated together, game after game.’
Mikel Arteta was keen to bring Vlahovic to the Emirates Stadium, viewing him as an upgrade on Arsenal outcast Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
But the Gunners will now be forced to turn their attention to other forward targets such as Alexander Isak, Victor Osimhen, Luka Jovic and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Isak extended his contract last October and Real Sociedad capitalised on the chance to insert a €90million (£75m) release in the deal, but his is the only potential deal that would require little negotiation if the Gunners are willing to stump up the fee.
Osimhen has scored nine goals in 16 matches for Napoli this campaign, adding to his 10-goal haul from the previous year. His club splashed out €80m (£66m) to sign him from Lille in 2020.
Jovic has been out of favour ever since signing for Real Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt for £50m back in 2019. Jovic is back at Real after spending the second half of last season on loan back at Frankfurt, though showed very little signs of resurrecting his previous form in Germany.
Calvert-Lewin is a star at Everton, who would fight to keep him and would expect to receive at least £60m if they were to let him go.

Arsenal have just three recognised first-team strikers available for them at the moment in Gabriel Martinelli, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
Former club captain Aubameyang has not featured for the club since the start of December after seeing the armband taken away from him due to repeated disciplinary breaches. He has been at the Africa Cup of Nations with Gabon during January.
Both Lacazette and Nketiah will see their contracts expire at the end of the season, while Sportsmail revealed last week that Aubameyang has been the subject of interest from Saudi Arabian teams.
Young forward Folarin Balogun left the club in January to join Middlesbrough on loan.
