Eastenders’ Bobby Brazier looks effortlessly stylish during The British Soap Awards 2023

Bobby Brazier cut a smart figure as he joined his Eastenders cast at The British Soap Awards at The Lowry in Salford on Saturday evening.

The actor, 19, who is the son of the late Jade Goody, looked very suave in a smart dark green polo shirt for the occasion.

He added a pair of smart white chinos with mustard loafers, which had silver detailing on, while wearing a pair of sunglasses tucked into his shirt.

Bobby has followed in his late mother’s showbiz footsteps and is now a model and actor, bagging the part of Freddie Slater in EastEnders last year.

Clay Milner Russell, who plays Bobby Beale in the soap, also joined him on the red carpet.

Bobby is the eldest son of the late Jade Goody, while she also had a son Freddie, 18, with her ex Jeff Brazier.

Jade tragically passed away in 2009 at the age of 27 following a battle with cervical cancer, and her death was credited with prompting a substantial increase of women attending their cervical screenings.

Bobby was just five years old when she sadly passed away, and recently said he bases his memory of his mother on what others tell him about her.

Speaking to The Times about what he remembered of Jade, he said: ‘Not a whole lot. Maybe memories of memories. I’m always being told about her and what she meant to people. I guess I know my mum through other people’s memories of my mum.’

This year’s British Soap Awards is hosted by Jane McDonald, who was drafted in as a last minute replacement for long-time host Phillip Schofield.

Operatic singer and cruise ship favourite Jane, 60, was revealed as Phillip’s replacement on Thursday after he quit ITV and was dropped by his talent agency YMU after admitting to an affair with a young male This Morning colleague.

He confessed to having the ‘unwise but not illegal’ relationship with a man during his marriage to Stephanie Lowe, and previously denied the affair when asked about it by his agent.

The presenter, 61, confirmed in a statement last week that he has stepped down from all his ITV jobs, including the ceremony.

And amid news Jane was taking the helm, fans hailed the star as the ‘perfect choice’ to front the ceremony, which takes place at The Lowry in Salford, Greater Manchester.
