EastEnders star Luisa Bradshaw-White has revealed she’s leaving her role as Tina Carter after seven years.

The actress, 45, took to Instagram on Friday to announce she was leaving the BBC soap, revealing she’d had the ‘most amazing time on’.

In a heartfelt caption, the soap star said it was ‘time for me to move on’ and said she was excited to try ‘other projects’.

Alongside a selfie of herself, she penned: ‘Finally the time has come to say goodbye to my EastEnders family. I am leaving EE at the end of the year! 

‘After 7 awesome years it’s time for me to move on and get excited about other projects! I have had the most amazing time on EE and will miss the cast and crew so much. But I am also completely excited about the new adventures that await me.

‘It’s been an amazing ride. Being part of the 30th anniversary, the live eps, the Carter family, working every day with my best friends. @officialdannydyer @Kelliebrightofficial and #LindaHenry I love you more than anything in the world.’

She concluded: ‘Thank you to all the awesome and loyal fans for your support and love of Tina. I have appreciated it so much. Keep watching there is lots of drama to come!’

Her post was flooded with a plethora of messages from her followers, including Danny Dyer, who plays her on-screen brother Mick Carter.

He wrote: ‘Lu Lu you are such an incredible woman. Micks gonna miss his nutty sister so much. Only beautiful spiritual creative things await you. Love you. ❤️’ 

Luisa then shared the same message again on her Instagram stories.

Meanwhile, an EastEnders source hinted to MailOnline that her character is set for an explosive exit storyline, however, they’re remaining tight-lipped about the exact details of her exit. 

They added to Metro: ‘Of course it’s always sad when they make a choice to write someone out but sometimes the creation of a big story means they have to lose a much loved character.’ 

Meanwhile, an EastEnders spokesperson said: ‘We can confirm that Luisa will be leaving EastEnders. Luisa has been a fantastic addition to the cast and we wish her all the best for the future.’

With Jon Sen, Executive Producer for EastEnders adding: ‘Luisa has been a wonderful member of the EastEnders company for the last seven years. We will all miss her dearly but wish her well in her future endeavour.’  

In her seven years in Walford, Tina has been embroiled in several huge storylines including the domestic abuse plot with her ex Tosh and confronting her past trauma at the hands of Stuart Highway. 

She’s also had a relationship with Sonia Fowler and a shock one-night stand with Billy Mitchell.

Luisa’s exit comes after co-stars Jake Wood (Max Branning) and Davood Ghadami (Kush Kazemi) recently announced their departures from the soap.
