EastEnders viewers are shocked as Dennis Rickman is revealed as baby Alyssa’s father

EastEnders viewers left SHOCKED as Sharon Watts’ late son Dennis Rickman is revealed as baby Alyssa’s father

He died at age 13 in the boat crash last year on the popular BBC soap.

And Dennis Rickman was confirmed to be the father of baby Alyssa in Monday’s episode of EastEnders.

Alyssa was left on Sharon Watts’ doorstep several weeks ago, with a note attached from the baby’s mother – which suggested that one of the occupants in the house was her father.

Sharon’s brother Zack Hudson assumed he was the father, after a string of one-night stands.

However his flatmate Martin Fowler also questioned if the baby could be his, while neither of them knew who the mother was.

Both men decided to share parental responsibility while waiting on the paternity test results.

In a shock twist both men were left completely puzzled when they learned neither of them were the baby’s biological father.

Meanwhile, Sharon found Alyssa’s toy giraffe – which had gone missing earlier in the episode – on her doorstep.

And Zack took the opportunity to look around to see who could’ve returned the item and he saw Jada Lennox, who was standing nearby.

Jada ran away and Zack preceded to chase her until he finally caught up.

Sharon caught up with the pair, and pleaded with Jada to come clean, reiterating how unfair it is that she led Martin and Zack to believe they had a child.

Jada eventually came clean: ‘I never got a chance to tell the dad, It was Dennis, Dennis is her dad.’

Adopted by Phil Mitchell, Dennis Rickman Jr was the son of Sharon Watts and Dennis Rickman.

His biological father Dennis died on New Year’s day before he was born.

Last year February, Dennis Jr died during Queen Victoria’s awarded boat trip, after Ian Beale trapped him in the lower deck of a boat due to Dennis being responsible for his son Bobby being in hospital.

Despite Ian’s efforts to save him, Dennis died from a cardiac arrest after the boat crashed.

Fans flocked to Twitter to reveal their shock at the soaps plot twist.
