EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: As Boris Johnson comes out fighting over Partygate, so does his brother!

While Boris Johnson denied ‘intentionally or recklessly’ misleading MPs yesterday over ‘Partygate’, his half-brother Max has come out fighting, too.

The Eton and Oxford-educated financier, 37, shared this photograph of him practising Thai boxing in Phuket, Thailand.

He dedicated this bare-chested snap not to the former prime minister but to his trainer, ‘Kru’, for making him a stronger fighter.

‘I have to give a special shout-out to this man . . . for giving me the strength in those moments of pain and exhaustion to get back up and face down all the rest of life’s challenges.’

Boris will know how he feels . . .

Tough: Boris’ brother comes out fighting, too!

Poppy reveals her burning passion…

Poppy Delevingne is enjoying a blossoming romance with Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece, yet she’s determined to hold on to the remnants of her eight-year marriage to James Cook.

The actress and model, 36, had two wedding ceremonies with businessman Cook in 2014: one in London and the other in Marrakech. And she says her two designer wedding dresses remain among her most treasured possessions.

‘I had one [dress] designed by the wondrous Karl Lagerfeld, for Chanel,’ she says on This Old Thing podcast. ‘For part two, I wore a Peter Dundas for Pucci wedding dress. That’s now in a museum in Norway — he’s stolen it back from me. I want it back because I want to do the washing up in it.’

She adds: ‘[I’d save] those two things if my house is burning down — they hold so much sentimental value.’

Call the accountant! Call The Midwife creator Heidi Thomas and her husband, Stephen McGann, who plays Dr Patrick Turner in the hit Sunday-night BBC One drama, have shared a £1 million payday from their production company, Velvet Films.

According to newly filed accounts, the couple shared £600,000 in dividend pay in the year to last June, while Heidi received £435,592 in writer’s fees.

Their earnings are a £224,758 increase on the previous year.

Wham! star Andrew’s unwelcome tenants

Wham! star Andrew Ridgeley’s plans to demolish a barn and build a new house at his farm have been hit by bats.

The Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go singer wants to tear down a disused garage and store and build a three-bedroom pad in its place.

And he wants to extend the building to provide an open-plan kitchen and dining area with a vaulted open roof at the 76-acre farm near Wadebridge, Cornwall. But a survey carried out ahead of the proposed development found the garage is being used as a roost for bats —a protected species.

Ridgeley, 60, has applied to the local council for planning permission but will also have to apply for a special licence from Natural England before building work starts.

Screen baddie Jeremy Irons ‘went mental’ after a slip of the tongue by The One Show presenter Alex Jones.

‘I’ve learned the hard way about telling people who the worst guests are because I did this once with Jeremy Irons,’

Jones says. ‘I got the name of his wife wrong. His wife is Sinead and I called her Joan. And he went mental. [He] confronted me and said, “I read an article, I’m in the top five worst guests ever”.

‘I said, “Look, there’s been many bad ones since you, so you’ve probably dropped down to the top 20 now”. And then he was actually fine.’

Monty Python stars Eric Idle and John Cleese still share a dark sense of humour.

Idle, 79, was asked online by a fan if he’d ever met Mary Poppins star Dick Van Dyke, 97.

‘Yes, a few times.’ Idle replies. ‘He called me during the pandemic a couple of times, too. Once he called and said, “Is John Cleese dead?”. And I said, “Sadly not.” ’
