EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Motorcycling menace? No, it’s Trinny Woodall in a moisture-boosting facemask!

Many women struggle to balance their morning beauty regimen with a busy work schedule, but former What Not To Wear host Trinny Woodall, 54, has found a wacky way to combine the two.

Perched on the back of a motorbike, the girlfriend of art dealer Charles Saatchi turned heads not because of her bright pink trouser-suit and scarf, but the curious white sheet plastered across her face.

Far from trying to go incognito, the style guru was saving time by wearing her favourite moisture-boosting face mask on the way to the ITV studios. ‘I have been utterly obsessed with masks since I was 13,’ she says. ‘There are masks for literally every occasion.’ So it would seem.

Queen’s confidant toasts new romance

The Queen’s close companion, racing manager Harry Herbert, has enjoyed a very romantic summer, following his split from his wife of 25 years, society caterer Chica.

The Old Etonian, 59, made his social media debut with his new girlfriend, Irish chef Clodagh McKenna, when she posted a picture of them from The Hamptons in New York (right).

Both smiling while holding glasses of wine, the 43-year-old blonde captions it simply with a heart emoji. It must be love . . .

Sir Trevor Nunn’s thespian daughter

When theatre maestro Sir Trevor Nunn’s daughter, Ellie, became an actress, her mother, Imogen Stubbs, was concerned, as she didn’t know ‘that many happy actors’.

Now, not only has the 27-year-old (right) won critical acclaim for her stage performances, but she’s emulating her mother yet again by falling head over heels for a theatre director.

Ellie, whose mother was married to former RSC chief Sir Trevor for nine years until 2013, is enjoying a sizzling romance with Andrew Room, whom she met when they were both students at Cambridge.

‘It’s a perfect match,’ says a friend. ‘She’s a great actress and Andy’s a talented director and producer. He’s already met the family and they love him.’

Sheffield-born Andy, 27, worked as an assistant on the Olivier Award-nominated West End production of Peter Pan Goes Wrong. Earlier this year, Ellie received outstanding reviews for her lead role in The Daughter-In-Law, by D. H. Lawrence, at London’s Arcola Theatre.

Jenny Agutter who has starred in Call The Midwife is taking a new direction on the other side of the industry as she begins to direct

Call The Midwife star Jenny Agutter is to make her directorial debut at the age of 65. She reveals she’s quietly working on a film about Edith Nesbit, author of The Railway Children, in which Agutter played the knicker-waver in the 1970 original — and then the mother in the 2000 TV remake.

‘Nesbit lived in a time of change,’ Jenny tells me. ‘When I was young, The Railway Children seemed to belong to a very distant past — the Edwardian world — and now it doesn’t. We’re only now realising how much we’re still affected by it.’
