A hilarious picture has gone viral of a man on a night out desperately shouting into a woman’s ear as she blankly stares ahead looking bored.
The pair were caught on camera on a Milk Tuesday at Bourbon nightclub in Edinburgh earlier this month.
The man in the picture, Patrick Ritchie, who appears to be in his late teens or early twenties, is wearing a red checkered shirt and is leaning over to shout something in his friend Lucia Gorman’s ear.
She is wearing a red dress and appears to be extremely unimpressed with the conversation.
Commenting on the nightclub’s Facebook page, user Alex Hall branded the image the ‘the most relatable nightclub photo in the history of art’.

The young man and woman in the picture have revealed themselves as Patrick Ritchie (left) and Lucia Gorman (right). They are old school friends and can’t remember the fateful words said on the night out in Edinburgh
His witty observation has since been liked 19,000 times and shared more than 11,000.
Mr Ritchie told Capital Radio it was ‘weird’ seeing an image of himself re-tweeted as far away as Australia.
He admitted neither he nor his friend could remember the fateful words he was shouting in her ear.
He told the station: ‘She’s one of my pals from school so she’s probably fed up. She looks like the most bored woman in the world.’
Miss Gorman, who is a student at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, told Capital: ‘I wasn’t having it.
‘I don’t remember (what he was saying). Patrick always talks rubbish so it could have been anything.’
Alex Hall’s witty observation on the picture of Mr Ritchie and Ms Gorman went viral
She added: ‘Someone sent me the tweet and it had 40 likes at the time and I was like ‘this is funny’, and at the end of the day it had 14,000.’
The image has been edited online to create a side-splitting collection of memes.
Matt Cleland commented saying he thinks Mr Ritchie was asking about the furry accessory his friend Miss Gorman had in her hand.
He thinks the man is saying: ‘How’d they let you in wae a hedgehog?’
Another person joked he was imparting some scientific knowledge on her, writing: ‘And that’s why Einstein’s theory of general relativity is flawed’.
On Twitter the image has had more than 44,000 likes and 9,000 re-tweets.
