The shiny snappy accessories our fashion editor can’t live without
1. The scarf-satchel combo
I love the way Mulberry has styled its new hero satchel Harlow with a pretty floral scarf around the handle. Try updating a bag with your own vintage scarf or check out Charles & Keith’s new range.
Harlow bag, £1,050; Scarf, £125; Dress, £910; Earrings , £595; Socks, £40, and Shoes, £555, all mulberry.com
Green bag, £69, charlesandkeith.co.uk
2. Metallic mules
Coloured metallic can be tricky to pull off as it sometimes looks a little tacky. Boden’s mules get the glitz just right and will add evening drama to a pair of jeans or black trousers.
Mules, £85, boden.co.uk
3. Acetate earrings
These are my current obsession. I’ve recently discovered the aptly named Super Cool Supply Store, which offers free worldwide delivery and purse-friendly prices.
Earrings, around £26 a pair, supercoolsupply.store
4. The slouchy evening bag
I’ve never been a fan of fancy evening bags but this relaxed velvet number is spot on. I love the shape – and it’s roomy enough for my essentials.
Bag, £145, lkbennett.com
5. High-shine cowgirl boots
Western is back (see overleaf for the new-style prairie dresses) and these boots are every cowgirl’s dream. The silver–tip toe gives them a luxe finish.
Boots, £105, office.co.uk
