Prince Edward and Sophie Countess Of Wessex were spotted on a rare a family outing with their two children on Easter Monday.

Lady Louise Windsor, 14, beamed and laughed with her mother as she drove a carriage through the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Her younger brother James, Viscount Severn, 10, was spotted driving the family’s Land Rover Discovery on the wooded route.

The drive must have cheered him up from Sunday, where he was seen in tears at the Easter Service.

James took liberty behind the wheel of the car, going reasonably fast.

The youngster drove through puddles, making water splash everywhere. 

Prince Edward, 53, rode a horse through the wooded path. 

Overall the family seemed to be in high spirits on the bank holiday, laughing with each other for the outing.  

They left the castle around 11.30am and spent an hour outdoors.
