An eerie photograph appears to show the Grenfell Tower inhabited again after a full moon passed behind the high-rise building.

Lights seemed to shine through the windows inside the block of flats where almost 80 people were killed in a shocking blaze.

Twitter user Karl-Tyrone took the heartbreaking image in west London and uploaded it online.

He posted a number of hearts and wrote: ‘Last night the full moon passed and shone through lighting it up like they were all at home again.’

Another user added: ‘Quite a chilling and very sad photo but incredible all the same.’

Meanwhile, a local woman called Sonia, wrote: ‘Pass by it often & it breaks my heart.

‘Never seen moonlight shining through it like this, hoping a sign of brighter future for the survivors.’

It is thought there have been at least 80 deaths following the tragic fire in June earlier this year.

It comes as the family of a 78-year-old grandmother who died in the fire described the pain of finally identifying her as a victim.

Flames and smoke could be seen coming from the huge building on June 14, and at least 80 people were killed

Ligaya Moore moved to London from the Philippines in 1974 and married a British man, Jim Moore, who died several years before the fire, her relatives said in a statement.

She had been living on the 21st floor of the tower when it was destroyed by an inferno in June.

Nearly four months after the deadly blaze, she was formally identified by her loved ones.

Mrs Moore is the 67th victim of the fire to be formally identified. Police believe the death toll to be around 80 people, but recently indicated the total could be lower than this.
