Shocking footage shows the moment a female tourist hits her head on a speedboat while parasailing on holiday in Egypt.
The Ukrainian tourist, who had not been named, ended up in the water with blood pouring from her head.
The incident was filmed off the coast of Sharm El Sheikh, a Red Sea resort in the Egyptian governorate of South Sinai, and the video was shared on social media on July 5.
The tourist was parasailing behind a speedboat when the rope broke on her parachute and she ended up in the sea.

The excursion was organised by the hotel where the tourist and her friends were staying.
In the footage, the woman is seen stranded in the sea with her parachute causing her to move along the water.
The speedboat approaches her, but her parachute sends her flying through the air and into the front of the vessel with a sickening thud.

After the incident, the injured tourist was pulled out of the water and taken to shore.
Hospital doctors reportedly diagnosed concussion and a spinal injury and used 15 stitches to close her head wound.
According to the Ukrainian tourist’s friends, the hotel’s representatives refused to accept responsibility for the incident and were selling parasailing trips the following day.
Her friends said that they noticed they were using the same red parachute allegedly used by their friend when the accident occurred.
It is unclear if they have filed an official complaint.
