Egyptian, 35, says love of Brit gran, 80, – whose sex life shocked Phil and Holly – is genuine

An Egyptian toyboy, 35, whose nights of passion with a ‘saddle sore’ British gran, 80, made Phil and Holly blush has insisted his love is genuine – but won’t reveal whether he is already married.

Mohamed Ahmed Ibriham swept Iris Jones, from Somerset, off her feet when they met on Facebook last year and she flew to Egypt to be with him.

Speaking to MailOnline from his home in Giza, south of Cairo, Mohamed said people may be skeptical about their relationship but that his love was genuine.

‘It might seem a bit strange having a wife who is 20 years older than your mother but that’s love,’ he said. ‘It makes you blind.

‘When you are a man and you fall in love with a woman, it doesn’t matter how old she is or what she looks like.’

The couple’s affair hit the spotlight earlier this week when Iris went on ITV’s This Morning to discuss the huge age gap and ended up revealing details of their sex life.

Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield weren’t prepared for how forthcoming she would be and immediately collapsed in giggles as the OAP exclaimed: ‘The first night was pretty rough.

‘Nobody had been near me for 35 years… I thought I was a virgin again!’

As Phil, 57, held his head in his hands, Iris continued: ‘Can I tell you what we used? A whole tube of KY jelly’.

Collapsing in laughter, a flustered Holly, 38, couldn’t control herself as Iris continued: ‘The thing is I couldn’t walk the next day… I felt like I was riding a horse! Saddle sore wasn’t in it. Anyway, we got over it.’

When speaking to MailOnline, Mohamed was slightly more coy: ‘It was a beautiful and we had been waiting for that moment for a long time.

‘I don’t want to go into too much detail because we don’t talk about such things in Egypt. But it was very passionate and felt special holding such a wonderful soul.

‘It’s not her appearance that interests me but what is inside. She has great mind and loving heart.’

He refused to answer when asked by MailOnline if he is already married or divorced or discuss any previous relationships.

‘It’s got nothing to do with my love for Iris,’ he added.

Iris, a grandmother from Weston-super-Mare, first struck up a conversation with Mohamed last summer on a Facebook group exploring atheism.

Mohamed initially declared love for her through social media and then said his feelings were confirmed when he saw Iris for the first time at Cairo airport last November.

‘I was very nervous but the moment I laid eyes on her I knew that it was true love. I’m a very lucky man to have found a woman like this,’ he recalled.

Within hours, the couple decided to get married and took part in an informal wedding ceremony which does not need to be registered with the authorities but allows them to share a bed.

Under the country’s strict Islamic laws, a western woman cannot share a room with an Egyptian unless they are married.

He revealed that his mother, 60, who he refuses to name and father, Ahmed Irbriham, 65, attended the ceremony. Two of his friends were witnesses.

Mohamed worked as welding inspector but gave up his job to spend time with Iris when she came to Cairo. He is now looking for work.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left incredibly red-faced during Tuesday’s show, as they spoke with a very forthcoming pensioner who discussed her sex life

He lives in a three-room house with his parents plus two sisters and a brother who are all younger than him but vehemently denied he was with Iris for her money or a passport to Britain.

Iris, a former cleaner, lives in a £220,000 bungalow and gets by on a £200-a-week pension and disability benefit.

Mohamed said: ‘I don’t care where we live or how rich or poor she is, I just want to be with Iris. At the end of the day, which country she wants to make her home is her choice; it can be either Britain or Egypt.

‘People think I am with her for all the wrong reasons. I know Britain is a beautiful country and a lot of people want to go there but I’m not bothered. I ‘m prepared to live with her anywhere in the world.’

Mohamed revealed that during her visit to Egypt he took Iris home for dinner, where she spent time with his mother.

‘My mother really liked Iris and they got on well even though there was a language problem.

‘But my mother said to me that if I’m happy, then she’s happy. That’s all any mother wants; for her son to be with a woman he really loves.’

Iris is due to return to Egypt next month so that her marriage to Mohamed can be registered with the British embassy, as she did not have the necessary documents last November.

True love: Iris went on to muse that although she is enjoying their sex life, that isn't the most important part of their relationship

She was told that she would have to produce her divorce papers and a certificate of no impediment proving she was free to wed again.

Iris divorced her former husband more than 40 years ago.

Her sons, Steve, 54 and Darren, 53, have expressed concerns over the relationship but Mohamed said that he is excited about visiting her friends and family in Britain at some point.

He added: ‘She’s told me that some of her sons are a bit concerned that I’m so young and what my intentions are.

‘When they meet me, they’ll see how much I love their mother and that I’ll take care of her. They’ll be happy to have a step-father like me.’

He also revealed that he is particularly looking forward to watching his Egyptian hero and Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah in action.

‘Salah is the king of Egypt and it would be an honour to go to Liverpool and watch him play live, ’ he beamed.
