She told viewers of the show, also called Salah, that women could become mother out of marriage and said they could make agreements with men for the purpose of getting pregnant.

‘You simply need to have the money and then separate,’ she said, Alarabiya reported.

She focused on the story of Hadeer Makkawi, an Egyptian woman who gave birth out of wedlock.

Lawyer Ashraf Naji failed a lawsuit against Salah after the episode aired, accusing her of incitement to immorality and committing dishonorable acts.

Salah was jailed for three years and was forced to pay 10,000 Egyptian pounds (£434) for bail and a temporary compensation.

The network which aired Salah stopped airing the show and accused the host of ‘crossing the line’ and discussing topics that were in contrast to Egyptian society’s family principles.
