Eight alleged members of Trinitarios gang trash room at NYC correctional facility.

Eight men who allegedly belong to the dangerous Trinitarios gang trashed a room at a New York City correctional facility and sent a law enforcement officer running for her life.

Sources revealed Wednesday that the mayhem that took place Saturday at the Vernon C. Bain Center, an 800-bed facility located on a barge in the Bronx, left shattered glass on the floor and on tables, as well as damaged electronics strewn over the floor.

The culprits are alleged members of the Dominican gang blamed for the machete murder of a 15-year-old Bronx boy.

According to WPIX 11, the female correction officer assigned to the area ran out of the room after trying to defuse the problem using pepper spray.

She then locked the door to the area and took cover from the gang members while other responding officers arrived.

The hoodlums, who had grown upset with the news that a fellow gang member was being transferred to another city jail, tried to delay the response to the scene by foolishly flooding the area before they were subdued by an Emergency Service Unit.

The riot once against placed the menacing New York City-based gang in the spotlight after 12 Trinitarios gang members were arrested for the savage June 20 murder of 15-year-old Lesandro ‘Junior’ Guzman-Feliz outside a Bronx bodega.

The teen, fondly known by family members and friends as ‘Junior’, was lured by the gang into the store and was beaten and stabbed by a group of men.

Junior had his throat slashed with a machete and managed to walk to a nearby hospital before his death that rocked the city and sparked outcry and concern within the community.

Despite the rowdy behavior that took place, authorities have not made it known whether those involved in Saturday’s altercation were among the 12 arrested for Guzman-Feliz’s senseless killing.
