Sydneysiders will soon be able enjoy a drink and nibbles at the world’s longest bar with views across the city’s iconic harbour. 

The busy Cahill Expressway in front of Circular Quay will be shut down and the 127-metre Long Bar will be erected from January 4-7 as part of Elevate Sydney festival. 

Tickets to Elevate are completely free but for $50 punters can get a seat at the one-of-a-kind bar that stretches almost as far as the eye can see.

Up to 200 people can book hour-long sessions at the unique bar between 2:30pm until 9:30pm but you better be quick as some times already sold out. 

The Long Bar is the perfect vantage point for festival-goers to take in the picturesque views of the famous Sydney Harbour, Bridge and Opera House. 

Tickets to the Long Bar include a food and drink package with a complimentary glass of New South Wales wine or beer and a grazing platter with some of the state’s freshest produce.

Elevate Sydney is an annual summer festival starting from January 3 with family, social and night sessions. 

Family sessions starts from 10am and includes performances from much-loved characters, dancing and sing-a-longs.

Guests at the night and social afternoon sessions can enjoy sets from some of Australia’s favourite artists such as The Veronicas, Client Liaison, Thelma Plum and Amy Shark as well as a surprise headline act who is yet to be announced.

When the sun goes down, visitors can also enjoy a spectacular light show with 600 drones above the harbour.

Tickets to Elevate are free but booking is essential.
