Subscribing to an ‘everything in moderation’ attitude, the 54 year-old supermodel advocates ‘a mostly plant-based diet’. 

Unsurprisingly, the mum-of-two swears by fruit and green leafy vegetables.

But they must be in-season and always washed and ready to go.

Elle enjoys regular daily intake of organic raw almonds, which are proven to lower blood sugar levels, reduced blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels.

And the former Sports Illustrated cover star also uses almonds to make milk.

‘From an early age, I learned to look after myself,” she told the publication. ‘I would make sure I was in shape, and people expected a lot. [But] then, as time moved on, I realised that I couldn’t really rely on genetics anymore.’
