Following the series’ fall finale last week, ABC released a brief promo that reveals the winter premiere date… the last episode Pompeo will be a series regular.
It was reported in August by Deadline that Pompeo would only appear in eight episodes of the 19th season, after she took a role on Hulu’s Orphan limited series.
The preview reveals Pompeo’s Meredith Grey is leaving Seattle in the winter premiere, airing Thursday, February 23.
