Elsa Pataky stuns as she cosies up to husband Chris Hemsworth at screening of his new film in Berlin

Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky looked very much in love as they cosied up together at a Berlin movie screening.

The Byron Bay actor, 39, looked every inch the movie star as he posed on the red carpet for a special screening of Extraction 2 on Friday at Berlin’s Zoo Palast.

Chris, who plays black market mercenary Tyler Rake in the films, stood proudly beside his model wife Elsa, 46, as he wrapped his arm around her.

His Spanish wife Elsa turned heads on the carpet as she donned a stunning floor-length satin pink gown that flaunted her fit figure.

The beautiful dress complimented her tanned complexion as she kept her makeup natural and dewy.

She styled her long brown locks in a loose wave and for accessories, the Spanish model kept it simple with a silver chain.

The Hollywood actor looked dapper in a blue three-piece suit that showed off his muscly physique.

He paired it with a light blue shirt as he kept his brown locks messy and sweeping across his forehead.

The Thor actor appeared in great spirits as he attended the screening for his newest flick.

He was photographed taking selfies and signing autographs for his adoring fans before taking to the stage at Zoo Palast.

Chris joined the host of the evening, Jenny Augusta, and filmmaker Sam Hargrave to welcome guests and introduce them to the movie.

Extraction 2, the follow up to 2020’s smash hit Extraction, is set to be released on June 16.

Chris’ character Tyler Rake is back and ready for his next mission in the film, which also stars Idris Elba.

Back in 2020, Extraction became the number one film on Netflix and had 90 million households in its first four weeks.

Extraction follows former SASR operator-turned-mercenary Tyler Rake as he is recruited to rescue the son of India’s biggest drug lord.

The son – played by actor Rudhraksh Jaiswal – is being held for hefty ransom by a rival drug lord in Bangladesh.

But when Rake attempts to complete the mission, things go terribly awry as corruption and greed come to light.

Just a few days before the German screening Chris attended the film’s premiere in his wife’s native country, Spain.

The work trips come after the actor announced that his film career will take a back seat following a discovery he’s at risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

Chris, who recently lost his grandfather Martin to Alzheimer’s at age 83, and spoke to British GQ magazine about how he wants to be remembered when it’s his time to go.

Hemsworth said he was touched to hear people talking fondly about Martin at his funeral, and hopes the same will happen for him when he dies.

‘My uncle specifically said, “he’s remembered as a good bloke”. And if he knew, or if someone told him that’s how he would be remembered, how incredibly proud he would feel,’ the Thor star explained.

‘It made me think about my own life. And it wasn’t about career or anything. It was about being remembered as someone who was good and kind and contributed something of value.’

The Rush actor told Vanity Fair last November he has decided to take ‘time off’ after filming a confronting episode about death on his new Disney+ docu-series Limitless.

After having bloodwork done for the program, he was informed he is ‘between eight and 10 times’ likelier to develop Alzheimer’s than the general population, because he is one of only two to three percent of people with two copies of the gene APOE4.

However, there are evidently a number of steps that people in his position can take to reduce their level of risk, such as ensuring they get a good night’s sleep, curbing their alcohol intake and cutting out cigarettes, according to the CDC.

As a result, Chris reacted to the news of his own predisposition to Alzheimer’s by cultivating a healthier lifestyle.

‘Doing an episode on death and facing your own mortality made me go, “Oh God, I’m not ready to go yet”,’ he told the publication.

‘I want to sit and be in this space with a greater sense of stillness and gratitude. And then you start talking about kids and family…It really triggered something in me to want to take some time off.’

Playing on Chris’ stardom through superhero movies, Limitless follows him as he pushes up against the boundaries of what his body can do.

He is seen on the Disney+ program pursuing various physical goals, such as what Variety reports was 40lbs of weight gain for a Thor film.
