Fans praised Elton on Twitter as a ‘legend’ for coming to the defence of the woman.
‘We all applauded Elton [for] calling out overly aggressive behaviour by two men towards a female,’ one concertgoer wrote.
But some people didn’t approve of his bad language, with one tweeting: ‘Not good enough really for someone of his standing. There has to be a line drawn somewhere.’
It’s unclear why the woman was being removed from the venue.

It’s not the first time the flamboyant performer has sworn on stage.
In March last year, Elton swore at a fan who had touched him while he was performing in Las Vegas and later stormed off.
And in 2015, he compared security at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester, England to Adolf Hitler due to their aggressive crowd management.
