‘You can’t have it both ways!’ Elyse Knowles is slammed by fans for attending the Formula One Grand Prix in Singapore… after ‘preaching’ about clean energy and renewables

Elyse Knowles has been slammed by fans for attending the Formula One Grand Prix in Singapore over the weekend.

On Friday, the 27-year-old model and environmentalist urged Australians to be more sustainable and cut down on their use of disposable plastics.

But now critics are claiming she is a ‘hypocrite’ for sharing photos from the racing event, just one day after posting a message in support of climate change action.

‘How’s that climate change protest going after… attending a sports car event well done,’ one person commented on Instagram.

‘Sorry mate, but you can’t have it both ways. Preach climate change / action then [go] to an F1 event. Hypocrisy at its best,’ another wrote.

A third follower added: ‘Not to mention all the emissions… well done.’

‘We need to support the brave kids protesting, as it’s their future at risk. It’s time to focus solely on renewable energy sources and walk away from burning fossil fuels and the creation of new oils.

‘It’s not about convenience anymore, it’s about the future of the planet. I’m so proud of those who are marching in my new home town, Byron Bay, and I stand behind them all.’

‘To those who are in power and have the ability to help fix this crisis, please take this seriously,’ she concluded.
