But Elyse Knowles has revealed it wasn’t all smooth sailing for her and boyfriend Josh Barker.
The 25-year-old recalled how the show placed strain on their five year relationship with 28-year-old Josh because they were often left feeling ‘mentally drained’ during filming.

‘We do have to try and separate work away from home, which is pretty hard when you’re living in your renovation and that was a struggle for us,’ she told The Daily Telegraph this week.
‘You sit down to have dinner but you’ll literally be sitting on the floor of the house thinking ‘We have so much to do’. You can never get away from it.
She continued: ‘If we were stuck in the house for too long, we would get mentally drained. That’s what The Block, does because you’re there 24/7 and you’re always working. You can never escape.

The blonde model added that despite their ups and downs, the unique experience ultimately strengthened their relationship.
The struggle is no doubt paying off for the lovebirds, whose Coburg property sold for a staggering $1.61 million this month.
They reportedly bought the property three years ago for just $600,000 — meaning the sale has netted them a jaw-dropping profit of one million dollars.

The sold price far exceeded expectations, with the renovated California-style bungalow previously expected to fetch between $1.35 and $1.45 million.
‘We bought the house when I was 21, and I’d never had any experience in this so I was really relying on Josh and his knowledge,’ Elyse previously told Domain.
