Emergency outside Dan Andrews’ office in Melbourne: Street shut down with ambulance, police and fire services at the scene

Emergency services have been called to Daniel Andrews’ office in Melbourne.

A portion of the street has been shut down with ambulance, police and fire services at the scene in Noble Park in the city’s south-east on Tuesday.

A Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed to Daily Mail Australia they were called to an office on Princes Highway ‘following reports of a suspect item’ at about 10.20am.

‘The area has been cordoned off while police and emergency services assess the scene and conduct a safety check,’ the statement continued.

‘The area has been deemed safe.’

3AW’s Neil Mitchell had received unconfirmed reports a ‘white powder’ had been found at the address.

‘Don’t be an idiot, by all means criticise Daniel Andrews … but that sort of behaviour is not on,’ he said.

‘Don’t tie up the coppers and the ambulance for one thing.’

Mr Andrews’ office has been contacted for comment.
