Fans were given their very first look of her in Mary Poppins Returns, following the release of the film’s teaser trailer during the 90th Academy Awards on Sunday evening.

The film is set years after the original Mary Poppins film, and the trailer begins on a windy day in London as Georgie Banks (played by Joel Dawson) cheerfully chases after his kite.

He’s helped out by Jack (Lin-Manuel Miranda), who helps pull his kite in after it’s blown high into the sky.

‘It is wonderful to see you,’ Michael says as Jane gazes in awe at Mary.

‘Yes it is, isn’t it?’ Mary replies, admiring her reflection in the mirror.

Though she walks away, Mary’s reflection remains in the mirror, keeping a careful eye on her surroundings.

The upcoming film will follow Mary as she returns to help the Banks rediscover joy after the family suffer from a personal loss.

Mary Poppins Returns will premiere in the U.S. on Christmas Day 2018.
