Still, Collins admits that the ‘one romantic decision’ she ever made (moving to Paris) ‘bit’ her ‘in the a**’ after spending her ‘entire life’ being ‘practical.’

Her onscreen best friend, Mindy Chen (Ashley Park), then asks if either of her bosses are aware she is ‘pulling double-duty’ at work as she seemingly tries to balance two jobs at once.

‘Oh God, no!’ she responds, before, heading to a French class, where she is asked to translate a passage that read: ‘Not choosing is still choosing.’

An unseen voice later asks: ‘It’s not either or. Are we really here to just love one person?’

‘We always talk about work-life balance, right now I’m all about life,’ Collins tells her friends while sipping champagne in a green and white gingham bikini.

Her friend Camille (played by Camille Razat) encourages her not to time for granted with Alfie.

According to the show’s official synopsis, ‘Emily finds herself at a crucial crossroads in every aspect of her life’ one year after moving from Chicago to Paris for her dream job.

This season she will ‘have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie — at work and in her romantic life — and what those decisions mean for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.’

It comes after season two of the show left fans on the edge of their seats with the cliffhanger of whether the actress’s eponymous character will stay in the City of Love or head home to the US – and which love interest she’ll end up with.

Season two saw Alfie admit that he’s heading back to the UK after some time in Paris – hoping to keep the romance alive long-distance.

But things weren’t so straight forward for the couple, following a messy love triangle between Emily, her neighbor Gabriel (Lucas) and his girlfriend, Camille – who is one of Emily’s best friends.

And as one of the teaser snaps shows Emily seemingly getting close to Alfie during season three, fans are now left curious for an update on which suitor the main character will end up with.

In September, Collins teased that viewers should get ‘ready for another wild ride’ as she gave a full look at the latest season.

On Instagram, the performer captioned a slideshow: ‘Get ready for new looks, new locations, new love triangles… Merci France for being a home away from home and embracing us yet again.’

”So proud of this cast and crew and cannot WAIT for you all to see what our girl Emily gets up to!’ she wrote.

The plot thickens: This season she will 'have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie — at work and in her romantic life — and what those decisions mean for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides'

One teaser shot from the new season shows the star soaking up the French sun in a gingham bikini as she sips on a drink poolside, while the show’s stars such as Ashley Park and Camille Razat were also seen on-screen.

Another displayed Gabriel and Emily appearing to be in a tense conversation, following the latter’s season 2 slip up that she’s in love with her taken neighbour.

The cast spent the summer filming for the new season, which will be released on Netflix on December 23.

And fans are being treated to two more seasons, with Netflix also renewing the show for a fourth season in addition to the third.

Earlier this year, Lily took to Instagram to confirm the ‘VERY exciting news’ whilst Netflix added that the new year meant ‘new possibilities’ for Emily.

The actress penned: ‘Woke up early to give you some VERY exciting news… @emilyinparis is back for Season 3… AND wait for it, Season 4!!!!!’

She continued: ‘I can’t tell if Emily would love or hate this announcement outfit but she’d be screaming either way. Truly love you all, thanks so much for the incredible support. Seriously cannot wait for more. Merci Beaucoup!!…’

Alongside a video posted to social media, Netflix captioned: ‘Say ‘bonjour’ to 3 & 4! EMILY IS OFFICIALLY RETURNING FOR TWO MORE SEASONS!’

The video showed highlights from the show’s previous seasons and ended with ‘Emily In Paris back for seasons 3 & 4.’
