EMILY PRESCOTT: Is Princess Olympia of Greece regretting her unorthodox choice of headgear?

Is model and socialite Princess Olympia of Greece regretting her choice of headgear as she posts this picture on Instagram with a pained expression?

Olympia, 25, only daughter of Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and a goddaughter of Prince Charles, sported a bizarre knitted dress and balaclava combo that I can’t quite see catching on at M&S.

Away from bizarre fashion choices, things are looking up for Olympia on the romance front – she and boyfriend Perry Pearson, the son and heir of Viscount Cowdray, recently took to the skies in a hot air balloon.

They broke up a few months ago, so friends are delighted to see them flying high again.

Verity cleans up

Who says reality stars don’t do real work? Made In Chelsea star Verity Bowditch, right, is out to prove the cynics wrong with her vegan fast-food chain Clean Kitchen.

‘We started 18 months ago as a shack on the beach in Brighton,’ says Verity – who, alongside her co-founder, Mikey Pearce, wants to make plant-based food ‘accessible, cruelty-free and sustainable’.

They now have a restaurant in Camden, with three more opening across London. ‘We want to put a Clean Kitchen on every high street in the country,’ Verity tells me.

Impressive talk – especially for a person who admits she hates cooking.

If ever there was someone in need of Big Ben’s bongs it’s ITV political editor Robert Peston, the broadcaster who is notoriously late for everything. So organisers of a Hospice Biographers event in his honour told him the evening started half an hour earlier than planned.

Alas, their ruse failed after a fellow guest told Robert the actual start time… and true to form he arrived late! ‘My time-keeping is terrible,’ admits Robert, 62. ‘Sometimes I only make it on air by minutes.’

He was at the event last week to launch the charity’s Stories For Life initiative, recording stories of those receiving palliative care at home and in hospices.

My lips are sealed, but…

Which TV star has made an enthusiastic return to love-finding apps after a messy break-up?

He’s clearly keen to do better as he’s been asking women to rate his date performance. Top marks for effort!
