Recently, the fitness enthusiast came under fire after she revealed she was continuing to workout at a demanding pace during her pregnancy.

She shared a clip of herself at six months pregnant performing a series of deadlift squats, bicep curls and hip thrusts without missing a beat.

The active mother-to-be told her two million online fans she was cleared by doctors to complete the arduous fitness regime and claims it was ‘roughly half of what I usually do.’

Dressed in a bright yellow shirt and a pair of black workout tights, Emily caused a stir as she was filmed completing routines in the gym.

‘This is the heaviest deadlifts I’ve done my whole pregnancy – and it felt great,’ she wrote on the post.

‘Remember every pregnancy is different so don’t compare yourself to others, don’t try to do what others are doing, listen to your body and always do what’s best for you!’

While many of her followers expressed amazement at her energy during the later stages of pregnancy, Emily was quick to point out she was doing ‘low impact’ workouts and stopped if she felt uncomfortable.

‘My OB/Gyn has cleared me for this type of training, I have dropped the weights to roughly half of what I usually do & I’m doing low impact. If something doesn’t feel comfortable or I don’t feel well I don’t do it,’ she added.

But not all comments about Emily’s prenatal exercise were positive.

‘Not good. You can wait a few months your butt’s not going anywhere!!! You’re definitely going to have a c-section you’re tightening your muscles up too much!! Let everything relax a little. You will come back fitter than ever after that baby is born,’ one person wrote.

Others defended Emily’s decision to workout well into her pregnancy, with one supporter writing: ‘Educate yourself on the benefits of exercise during pregnancy, this is also hardly power-lifting. She is lifting less than half the weights she normally lifts anyway.’
